Born William Breakenridge December 25, 1846 in Wisconsin. Little is known other than he roamed the west performing numerous jobs along the way. He lived in Phoenix, Arizona and became Deputy Sheriff. After a year of service he moved to Tombstone and became Deputy Sheriff under Sheriff Johnny Behan. He played a neutral role during the Earps reign and the subsequent shootout.. He was known to have arrested Johnny Ringo and other notorious  characters without incident. He went on to become a Deputy US Marshal, Surveyor, and Detective for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He died on January 31, 1931 in Tucson, Arizona.
